I went in requesting an oil change and a diagnosis on an alert light that turned on. They told me it’d be about an hour and a half wait, which I didn’t mind at all. I sat in the waiting room and when they told me my car was ready I was informed they never checked the alert light because they’d have to charge me for the diagnosis. I told them that was fine and to proceed, but they said their technician wouldn’t have time. I was immediately frustrated because I showed up with two requests - they knew it was going to cost me to have the light diagnosed up front, so why didn’t they just tell me that when I arrived so I could tell them to proceed. They then gave me three options - wait a few more hours, leave and come back (I came by myself and live across town), or make an appointment. If someone comes in and asks for something to be done to their car the information up front would be greatly appreciated. I’d still recommend this place to people - the staff has always been nice and they have a very comfortable waiting room, but I won’t lie - the lack of communication pissed me off.
